PSC Categories
Description of PSC Categories and annotated description of PSC Search and Detail Pages
Also referred to as Federal Supply Codes, Product Service Codes (PSCs) maintained at acquisition.gov are used by the United States government to describe the products, services, and research and development purchased by the government. Government procurement specialists and government contractors alike require a solid understanding of these codes in order to produce quality partnerships between buyers and suppliers.
GovTribe maintains a list of PSC Categories and their details, allowing you to:
filter by your relevant PSC Categories when searching for Opportunities,
research competitors and possible teaming partners within certain PSC categories
The PSC Categories Search Page
To access the PSC Categories Search Page:
Step 1. Go to: Main Menu >> Categories >> PSC Categories. (Take me there)
The PSC Catgories Search Page will be displayed, which allows you to view and access information about PSC Categories.

The following image describes this page and its features and functionality.
Favorite the PSC Categories relevant to your work to make it easier to pursue relevant contracts. When searching for Opportunities, you’ll be able to quickly add those PSC Categories to your filters.
The PSC Category Detail Page
To access a PSC Category’s Detail Page:
Step 1. Go to: Main Menu >> Categories >> PSC Categories. (Take me there)
Step 2. Search for the appropriate PSC Category, then click on its Title (or View button).
You can also access an PSC Category’s detail page by clicking on any PSC Category link throughout GovTribe.
The PSC Category’s Detail Page will be displayed, which allows you to view and access its information.
Reports Section
At the top of the PSC Category Detail Page, the Reports section is active and displayed at the top of the page, with the Funding tab selected by default. Click each tab in the Reports section to view a different report for the PSC Cateogry.

Popular Opportunities Section
This section provides a list of Opportunities for this PSC Category, based on the number of times it has been accessed by GovTribe users.
Funding Analysis Section
This section provides useful information about the PSC Category’s funding history, starting at the highest contracting level and allowing you to drill down to the lowest.
For details on how to interpret the data and graphs in this section, refer to Detail Pages - Funding Analysis Section in the Reports on Detail Pages section of this User Guide.
Details Section
This section provides a description of the PSC Category, as defined in The North American Industry Classification System.
Federal Contract IDVs Section
This section displays a list of all Federal Contract IDVs that have been awarded for this PSC Category.
Federal Contract Awards Section
This section displays a list of all Federal Contracts that have been awarded for this PSC Category.
Federal Contract Opportunities Section
This section provides access to information about the Federal Contract Opportunities currently open for this Agency.
