Research NAICS and PSC Categories

How to research standard federal categories for your business verticals

NAICS (pronounced NAKES) Codes are a classification within the North American Industry Classification System, which was developed for use by Federal Statistical Agencies for the collection, analysis and publication of statistical data related to the US Economy. Product and Service Codes (PSCs) categorize products and services as defined at www.acquisition.gov/psc-manual.

GovTribe provides a searchable database for each of these categorizations which you can use to find and research awards and opportunities related to your business vertical.

To research NAICS or PSC Categories:

Step 1. Go to: Main Menu >> Categories >> NAICS Categories (take me there) or PSC Categories (take me there).

The functionality is the same for both options.

Step 2. If you know the NAICS or PSC code, enter it in the Search field. Alternatively, you can enter relevant keywords to return related categories.

You can easily add “favorited” NAICS and PSC codes to filters when searching for awards or opportunities, as shown below.

Step 3. Click a code’s Title or its View button to access the code’s details page, where you can view useful data and information such as funding analyses within the code and awards and opportunities related to the code.
