# State and Local Contract Opportunities

A State or Local contract is an agreement between the State or Local entity and the prime recipient (contractor, vendor, company) to provide goods or services for a fee. This includes all types of commitments that obligate the government to an expenditure of funds, and that, except as otherwise authorized, are in writing. Each State and/or Locality has it's own set of legal provisions and regulations that govern how they interact with industry (contractors/vendors/companies)

**Step 1**: Go to **Main Menu** >> **Opportunities** >> **State and Local Contract Opportunities** (Take me there)&#x20;

The *State and Local Contract Opportunities* Search Page will be displayed, which allows you to access and view the State and Local Contract Opportunities sourced by GovTribe.&#x20;

**Step 1**: Go to **Main Menu** >> **Opportunities** >> **State and Local Contract Opportunities** (Take me there), then click on the **Title** of any Contract Opportunity Listed.

Users can view updates made to the contract opportunity via the Activity tab. Information presented is details like the addition of Government Files, Amendment revisions and Due Date changes.
